Week 1 Preview
The 2014 season is finally here and with the playoff it will be a brave new world. We can only hope the committee does not screw it up. We have increasing parody and while I wish it was 8 teams 4 is twice as good as before. The 5 power conferences will most likely fight for those 4 spots. The dark horses to crash the party would seem to Marshall from C-USA and East Carolina from the newly named and recently joined American Athletic. It is hard to see the Thundering Heard lose a game this year but the schedule is nothing that will get them in. On the other hand East Carolina might be the best team in their new league and play South Carolina, Virginia Tech and North Carolina in non-conference play. If the Pirates win them all and a couple of the power 5 have off years who knows. The Big 10 seems to be the league that could end up on the outside looking in. They must win some of the big non-conference games and stop plying 500 ball against the MAC.
Biggest week 1 Games:
Clemson @ Georgia...........................I think the Dawgs win by double digits wont live up to 2013
Wisconsin VS LSU.............................Flip of the coin maybe the best game all weekend Tigers close because Big 10 has not won these games lately
Alabama VS West Virginia..............Picking the Tide seems too easy but I will anyway although maybe not the blowout it should be
South Carolina VS Texas A&M......I don't believe in either of these teams I will take SC only because they are home
Upset Alert:
Penn State VS C. Florida................Penn State, Playing on the other side of the world and Penn State could succumb to the athletes from UCF
North Dakota ST @ Iowa St........Iowa State, Hey they have a couple in a row over the big boys and got K-State last year why not again
Louisiana Monroe @ Wake Forest.....Wake Forest, a bad ACC team hosting a team with a recent history of party crashing
